 Emily Oz
Emily Oz Weekend Anchor/Reporter

Emily Oz came to WDAY 6 News in August of 2005. She co-anchors the
weekend newscasts with Lon Francis and reports during the week. Oz is
a native of Granite Falls, Minnesota. She graduated from the University
of Minnesota in Minneapolis in 2003. Since completing her education in
communications, she has worked at WDIO-TV in Duluth and most
recently KSAX-TV in Alexandria, Minnesota. Emily says her interest in
broadcast really took off during her time at KSTP-TV in Minneapolis while
she was still a student. Oz worked for Ross Kirgiss in Consumer
Investigations and for Tom Hauser in the Capitol Press Bureau. She later
manned the dispatch seat overnight on the weekends at KSTP. Emily
served the city of Minneapolis as the 2000 "Queen of the Lakes." She
spent the year touring the state, nation and world on behalf of the city's
official festival, The Aquatennial. "I'm happy to call Fargo home," Emily
says. "There are so many nice people in the F-M area. I look forward to
serving the viewers who count on WDAY 6 News for all the latest
information."
